somewhere in these hills...

Despite a HUMILIATING loss to Va Tech this weekend, we had a wonderful time in Clemson. It was so great to walk around campus and downtown and relive those college days. My girlfriends and I even walked in the library to smell the "old book" smell that it has. It was fun to reminisce about the good ole days! Tailgating in Clemson is the best...we had so much fun eating good food and just hanging out and talking. After the game Dan and I went to Greenville to stay downtown for the night. Downtown Greenville has to be the cutest area. Our hotel was very nice and in a great location, however we were too exhausted after the game to even walk around (we didn't get to Greenville until about 11:00 pm). After a nice breakfast, it was time to get back to the Lowcountry. Mom and dad reported that all the kids were great and mom even said she wasn't as tired as she thought she would be! All in all a great weekend-but too bad there will be a VA Tech flag hanging from my house this afternoon....sigh. I guess we Tigers were OVERRATED!

Russ is indignant at the thought that you might have a Tech flag on your house. So sorry about the lose, but so glad you had a fun time despite it!

When my parents came to UVA for a football game my first year we took them on a "tour" of Grounds. We pointed out the buildings where our classes were, the cafeteria, etc. My dad said, "That's a pretty building, what is it?" Kara and I said, "Dad, we've only been here for a month, we don't know everything!" Then we saw the sign...it was Alderman Library. Oops.
