Girls just wanna have fun...

I went and saw the Sex and the City movie yesterday with a group of girls and I must say it did not disappoint. I actually LOVED it! The shoes, high fashion, and hair-styles were all to die for, as well as the music! I think I'll be putting the soundtrack on my Ipod soon. I so relate to Charlotte in the movie....but no spoilers here. Go see it for yourselves and grab a couple of girlfriends... Anytime a movie can make you laugh out loud and cry, it's good for me. It was a great movie about girlfriends and the bonds we have...I highly recommend it. Afterwards, we all went out for dinner and cosmos. I hadn't had a cosmo in a long time and it was so good, not to mention that it was PINK and GREEN!

We had a great weekend here. Hit the beach yesterday morning...the temp is creeping up there though. The car said 99 on the way to the movie yesterday afternoon. The beach felt good! The boys and the van were covered in sand. I still saw a lot of sand in the van this morning and it actually made me smile...thinking about how much fun it is to live at the beach!

Yesterday was perfect- I have to agree with Slacker Mama, but I would take 99 degrees if the beach was so close! I loved it NC last summer- the van was full of sand, and we loved it!!!! When we got home we cleaned after a couple of days, and I missed how excited Will was to see the sand in his car seat and on the floor.

I'm there with you Lee. We're at the pool every day. The humidity dropped last night and Brian and I could sit outside for awhile, which was really nice.

I saw it Sunday afternoon and loved it, too. It was absolute perfection! They couldn't have made it any better. I've missed those girls so much!

Hi Lee,

I am Kimberly, (Amy Sheppard, Kara, Amy Burger's, etc. friend). I have a son named Harrison, too. I saw you at the Park West pool when I was back for a visit last week. I read Sheppard's blog all the time and have read some of yours and enjoy it so much!! If I could be on your list after you go private, I would love that :o) I read your comment about sand in your van and how it reminds you of how great it is to live at the beach. That just choked me up because leaving there was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. I always felt the same way when we would get home from the beach and would be washing our feet and legs off with the hose in the driveway before going into the house. I can't imagine a bad day at the beach (except for the hurricane times). Beach life is the good life. And loved seeing your boys at the pool :o)
