Love me do...

I think I've pulled a fast one on Harrison. When we get in the car, he always request to listen to his "special music", which basically is the same Laurie Berkner CD we've been listening to since he was a baby. I am getting a little tired of it. Our van came with built in XM, so I love listening to it, since it really is the only time I can listen to "my" music. When we were in Vegas and went to see the LOVE show set to The Beatles, I got the urge to pull out my Beatles One CD (the one with all of their #1's in one CD) and pop it into the CD player in the van....well, Harrison thought this was great. "OOOO Mommy, I love this! Is it 'special music'?"....It only took me half a second to respond, "Yes it is sweetie, it's The Beatles and it's very special". Guess what? Now everytime we get in the car he requests his "special Beatles music"....I'm good, pretty darn good. See you around Laurie, there's some new special music in town!

Hi, there-- The Beatles are great, but don't think you have to be stuck with one CD by Laurie Berkner. She has four CDs out with a fifth one coming out in August--you can find them all on Amazon.com. --Another Mom.

John and I convinced E one time that the Grateful Dead CD we were listening to was, in fact, The Wiggles.

'Cause that's the kind of parents we are.

I love the 1 CD...I wish I could listen to it in the car, but my CD player is broken from the aformentioned kid shoving CDs in while the car was off.

How funny! My daughter just saw a commercial for Laurie Berkner on Sprout when I was fixing dinner. LOL

My kids love Disney on XM. Not that bad but I get tired of it too!

BTW I wanted to say how much I love that Clemson sunrise pic on your sideboard! Did you take it? It's breathtaking to say the least!

Since I *hate* "kiddie" music, my kids have been listening to the Beatles, Cat Stevens, the Mamas and the Papas (Dream a Little Dream by Mama Cass is the BEST lullaby!)since they were babies...A few years back I found a "Bedtime with the Beatles" CD that is all instrumental. It's the BEST. In fact, I can't wait until this fall (ALL kids in school...Momma at home!) so I can veg out to it! Congratulations for coming to the "Dark Side!"

Brilliant. My parents started me on the Beatles and oldies, so they didn't have to deal with annoying kids music :) To this day, the Beatles are still my favorite band, LE SIGH.
