We are looking forward to a great weekend. My parents are on their way as I type! Since it's Good Friday, I'm making roasted salmon with herbs de provence, butternut squash risotto and sauteed green beans for dinner tonight. Tomorrow after my 6 mile run, we are coloring and decorating Easter eggs, then it's off to our neighborhood egg hunt which will consist of 2000 EGGS and the Easter Bunny! Saturday night, we are doing a pork shoulder in the crockpot and will turn it into Carolina-style b-b-q with a homemade vinegar-based sauce complete with potato salad, cole slaw and banana pudding-a wonderful Southern meal. Easter morning I'm making Paula Deen's Gorilla Bread, which is similar to King's Crown. If you haven't made her Gorilla Bread before, I HIGLY recommend it. Dan's family always ate this on Easter morning. After church we will get started on lunch. We are having a Beef Roast with potatoes, onions and carrots, asparagus and rolls. My mom is making a homemade carrot cake for dessert. I CAN'T WAIT! I also can't wait for Harrison to look for his Easter basket Sunday morning...a weekend of GOOD FOOD and FAMILY...nothing better. I'll leave you with a few pictures from our Egg Hunt earlier this week...Happy Easter!

I'm getting hungry just reading your post. My parents are coming down this weekend too...R is off today from his internship so we just went to the grocery and got *way* to much food. Let the eating begin!
Have a great Easter!
same as sweet pea, i am hungry now !! can you post some of those recipes ????
Hi. Just found your blog. Love the menu. I have 2 sons and live in NC (Raleigh area). My dad used to run the Cooper River Run. I also used to run quite a bit and want to get back into it. My neighbor is training for a triathlon right now and I'm jealous. Have fun tomorrow. Your boys are so cute. Love the room, too. I have similar patchwork bedding on their beds. Goes with any theme. :)
I can't believe how much Jack looks like Harrison...I thought you were doing a montage of Easter pics and that was Harrison's first Easter!
Sounds like a fun (and delicious!) weekend!
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend-it sounds fabulous, food and all! I am definitely going to try the gorilla bread for Sunday breakfast. Thanks for sharing!
I agree with Slacker Mama - I totally thought that was baby Harrison in the wagon. And a nod to your stylish boys - madras plaid, seersucker, and pink oxford. I can always count on you showing the way to dress boys. Our menu is a little more tried and true - ham, asparagus, scalloped potatoes, curried fruit, and a cake baked in a lamb-shaped mold from my great grandmother.
