I've definitely turned into a dress wearing girl. I've always loved dresses, but when I started staying at home with the boys, I started wearing shorts more and more. Moving back to S.C. where it's hot more than it's cold...I started to realize that dresses are way cooler than shorts-DUH! Plus, I feel cuter wearing them. When I'm home with the kids, I usually throw on a simple knit dress or a tank and skirt. I'm all about FUN fashion, I love wearing different pieces and making a fun statement with my wardrobe. My neighbor (who is not all that friendly-don't worry she doesn't read this) asked me where I was "going" the other day because I had on a knit dress, I replied, "Not going anywhere, we just got back from the beach and I'm showered and clean and felt like throwing on a dress". Do you have to be "going anywhere" to wear a dress? Anyway, the top dress is one of my favorites and I'm wearing it to a party tomorrow night. It's super-comfy and keeps me cool in the humidity. I've also included some of my other favorites....from J Crew, of course! However, these are not dresses that I wear everyday around the house...just fun summer dresses-either to a party, cook-out, dinner, etc....

They're all so cute, but I think I'd feel like I'd need bloomers on to wear them on an average day. Maybe I'll invent cute but grown-up bloomers for moms with active kids!
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't wear these on an average day...I meant just simple, knit dresses...
ReplyDeleteThese are cute. I have been searching for some cute summer type dresses and nothing looks quite right?
ReplyDeleteMaybe after some more weeks of walking, I may feel better in the dresses. LOL
I'm a big fan of the skirt/t-shirt/flip flop combo. I need to get some new dresses. Maybe one of these days I'll go shopping...
ReplyDeleteI love dresses too. And skirts...they look much better on me than shorts.
ReplyDeleteAmen to dresses in SC, Sister! I love the green "shift" style dress! You are inspiring me to go SHOPPING!
ReplyDeleteI love skirts and dresses too. I don't wear them to work because I'm often on the floor or teeny-tiny chairs, but will often wear them on the weekend. I'm into warm colors this year too - orange, yellow, green. Funny and cheery.
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog--love it!
ReplyDeleteI agree. I love wearing skirts much more that shorts.
I'm totally a dress person too. Nothing makes me feel cuter! :-)
ReplyDeleteI am all dresses all the time this summer- and I am already stockpiling a few for next summer post baby. So much more comfortable. I am dreading the winter when I have no choice but to wear pants!
