Back to Normal?

Well, I finally did it-I've reached my pre-pregnancy weight minus 2 lbs. Why 2lbs you say? Because it's just a numbers thing. I want the scale to say a certain number....You would think that I'd be excited? Well I am and I have worked hard...but I am just not the same. You see, when you have 2 babies growing inside of you for 8 or so months (they were born a month early), something happens to your....ummm...skin. Now I'd like to lose some more (let's say about 5 lbs and then I'll stop there-I promise) in hopes that something will magically happen to that excess skin. So, although my body is not the same as it used to be, I look at that excess skin and smile knowing that it is the result of my 3 beautiful boys! That is what I'm grateful for today...Of course, a neighbor brought over some homemade fudge yesterday and it is sooooo good, so I'm grateful for that too.

  1. Congrats on your "pre-pregnancy minus two pounds" weight! I got down to pre-A weight...and then the scale started going in the wrong direction! Pre-E weight is just a pipedream!

  2. I didn't move my scale to TX so I'm on the tight-jean weight measurement system. If my jeans get to tight it's time to get busy. Which is where I'm at right now. Ugh. Mega-birthday-month followd by Christmas.

  3. Congrats on this huge accomplishment, especially given the time of year!

My skin just isn't the same...or my belly button...or my boobs...or my...oh, I need to stop!

  4. OK-I am sooo jealous of you. I know you run, so how else did you do it? I lost all my baby weight eventually after my daughter was born but I am finding it harder and harder to keep it off. So, share your tips PLEASE! Congrats! :)

  5. pinot and pacifiers-It was really tough and still is. I am NOT one of those people who can just eat anything. I run 3 days a week and do strength training for 40 minutes another 3 days. I exercise before the kids get up and husband goes to work. I eat a pretty lowfat, low calorie diet and do not drink soda at all (even diet). Since giving up soda, I feel so much better and actually when I gave that up, the weight started sliding off...I didn't even drink that much, just one can a day. I'm still a work in progress though...anyone else out there have tips. Oh and I did do Weight Watchers-it just didn't work for my type A personality-I became too points obsessed...
